Experience
I attended the University of Missouri-St. Louis and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. I went on to earn my master's in teaching at Webster University. I then returned to UMSL where I received my Education Specialist degree. I am certified to teach elementary 1-8, social studies 5-8, and gifted K-12. I am currently employed as a Curriculum Supervisor in a school district's central office but as a former teacher and daycare provider, I love helping others learn! I have experience teaching children of all academic abilities, from special needs to gifted students. In the past, I have taught in a standard elementary classroom as well as remedial reading and gifted students in third through eighth grades. The subjects I specialize in are reading, writing, American history, elementary and middle school math, social studies, and English. I excel at phonics, grammar, test prep, and organizing. I also love to help students improve and build their self confidence. In my free time, I love to read, write, sew, and quilt. In order to stay active, I like to bike and hike. I also really enjoy traveling, anywhere from Mexico to Alaska!
